Static Lacquer – Summer Collection

Hopefully you’ve heard the news that Mace Polish is rebranding to Static Lacquer. When Stacy first started making polish, it was a two woman team and Mace was a combination of their names. As time went on, Mace turned into a one woman show and Stacy wanted to rebrand to a name more fitting for her. Say hello to Static Lacquer! What’s even more exciting is the rebranding is happening on her two year indieversary!!

The first collection releasing under the new name is the Summer Collection. That’s right neons! And let … me … tell … you!! I am in love with these colors!

Overview

There are no issues to report, in fact I find the formula to be super easy to work with applying evenly and beautifully without any streaks.  The collection features six cremes that are light and bright and will put you right at the beach or poolside. This checks a lot of boxes for me. Even though I’m a flakie lover cremes are near and dear to my heart. There is something timeless about a creme mani, and the canvas is perfect for adding whatever sparkle/flair you want with nail art.  All the names of the colors are inspired by the song The Afterglow by the band Silverstein. Make sure you read all the way through, there is a surprise at the end!

My Favorite: I’ve thought a long time on this one and the decision never became easy or clear. If I went with my normal go to colors it would be I Can See the Sunset or Time Won’t Change. But to go outside of my norm I think my favorite is Caught in the Undertow.

Release Information: The Summer Collection releases on Sunday, July 29th on the Static Lacquer website. You can purchase the full colors for $46 or individually for $10 each.

Also releasing on the 29th is the new Crystalline (glossy top coat) & Overcast (matte top coat) for $7 each. All swatches are shown using these top coats. And in case you can’t tell by the almost empty bottle, Crystalline has quickly become one of my all time favorite top coats. It applies smooth, it isn’t runny or thick, it doesn’t smear nail art and it is one of the few top coats that allows me to wear a mani for more than a couple days without chips. Overcast also applies smoothly and gives a flat matte finish without any shrinkage to your polish.

As if these neons couldn’t get any better, they also WATER MARBLE! Now I am not one with the water marble superpower but I wanted to at least try to show how these perform in water. The colors spread effortlessly in water and they blend and swirl with ease. I’m sure you ladies with that superpower could do some awesome designs! Leave me a comment with your best water marbling tips!

Happy 2nd Indieversary Stacy!! Looking forward to seeing all that Static Lacquer brings!
